THE PROJECT

The #Bristol17 campaign was a Bristol based, and global facing campaign to inspire people to make a difference in their communities in line with the Sustainable Development (SDGs) set out by the mighty European Union.

The Global Goals Centre (our client) asked 17 networks and organisations across Bristol to nominate a hero for one of the Goals they are working towards. Our task was to release one film per week (17 in total) in the build-up to COP-26, build the Global Goals Centre followership across all social channels, and increase traffic coming to their website. We rolled out the campaign across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Looking at the data, it’s fair to say we smashed these targets. We’re big on creativity at Tusko, but also on data collection. The above stats are only a small percentage (pun intended), of the data we collected. Other data includes the less tangible impacts. An example of that can be found below under Tara’s film.

Watch the films, and we hope you’ll be inspired to take some action yourself. You’ll see that these are everyday people, and they all share our desire for a greener, fairer future for all.

We believe in the power of stories and content to make a positive change in the world. Our team thinks generationally, and we want our work to enable and empower people to impact the world in positive ways.

SOCIAL FIRST FILMS

Check out one of social first films that made up part of this Tusko Inspire campaign:

“This poster means so much to me, and seeing it with my girls was even more special! Thank you Global Goals Centre for the representation”

- Tara Miran, one of the #Bristol17 heroes.

ASK THE AUDIENCE

We also like to check in with the people who watch our content.

We polled an audience before they watched one of the films at Communicate. Communicate is the UK’s conference for environmental communicators.

Communicate brought together a blend of professionals from NGOs, the public sector, the media, academia, and green business, to debate and share the latest challenges, best practice, and inspiration for engaging people with the natural world. Communicate is an initiative of The Natural History Consortium. Here are the results:

We asked them two questions:

How much has this film and chat inspired you to take more action to tackle the climate crisis?

76.2% said ‘a lot’.

How motivated do you feel to make changes in your own life that will positively impact the planet?

50% said they were extremely motivated, and 50% said quite motivated.
