Challenge
In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, the team at Tusko had to find new and creative approaches to content creation to ensure that our clients still had a strong digital presence, even under lockdown conditions. Our client Steps Charity Worldwide asked us to help them produce high quality video content during the pandemic without going out to film any families.
Insight
Steps have a large audience of very committed families that have been helped greatly by the fantastic work that the charity does; they are strong advocates willing to help in any way they can. As we weren’t able to go and film these families, we proposed getting them on board to do their own filming. Under the close guidance of Tusko they were instructed to simply use their mobile phones.
Solution
We offered a range of COVID-19 packages, such as creating content from footage shot in 2019, professional editing of webinars, and our UGC COVID-19 package. For that we found a family that was willing to get involved and instructed them on best practices for filming, such as the importance of good lighting, limiting background noise and keeping the camera steady to mention a few. We then optimised it for Instagram TV (IGTV).
